The M1 Corridor is proud to spotlight Carla McDonnell, a 16-year-old entrepreneur from County Louth, who has put our region on the global stage by winning the Global Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge in New York.
Carla’s ground breaking idea, Vax Chill, is a portable cooling system designed to keep livestock vaccines at the correct temperature on farms. This innovation tackles a real-world challenge for farmers, reducing vaccine spoilage and improving animal health standards.
Her journey began with the Foróige NFTE Youth Entrepreneurship Awards, where she first showcased her concept. From there, Carla represented Ireland internationally and emerged as the first Irish winner of this prestigious competition, securing $5,000 in prize money to reinvest in her business.
This achievement highlights the talent, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit thriving along the M1 Corridor. It’s a testament to the region’s strong support network for young innovators and the opportunities available for those ready to think big.
Why it matters:
Congratulations, Carla! Your success inspires the next generation of entrepreneurs across the M1 Corridor and beyond.
