BASSE Northeast Programme Launched to Support SME Growth Across the Region

The Mill Enterprise Hub has launched the Business Advantage for Sustainability, Scaling and Expansion (BASSE) Programme, a major new initiative supporting ambitious SMEs across Louth, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan.

Funded through the Smart Regions Enterprise Innovation Scheme and co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union, BASSE provides high‑value mentoring, capability-building workshops, peer learning and on-site support—worth over €26,000 per company per year.

The three-year programme focuses on helping SMEs strengthen their capability in:

  • Sustainability – environmental assessments, climate readiness and green finance
  • Scaling – leadership, digital transformation and strategic growth planning
  • Expansion – export readiness, market exploration and 1:1 expert mentoring

Participating companies contribute €5,200 annually, with 80% of the programme cost covered via De Minimis funding.

BASSE is designed for established, growth‑driven SMEs looking to scale operations, build resilience and explore international opportunities.
